Hatesphere: Ballet of the brute

29/05/04  ||  Lord K Philipson

If there’s one band I will prolly always get the real CD’s from, no matter if I want them or not, it’s definitely Danish fuckers Hatesphere. Vocalist Bredahl has sent me their earlier albums in the past but this time it came directly from the label itself. I appreciate it.

It feels like Global Domination has been all about Denmark the last month. Interviews with Panzerchrist, Raunchy and Corpus Mortale as well as some reviews of Danish bands. The last thing right there I’m not sure of, but it definitely looks better to include it. Well, I don’t mind one fucken bit if I get some more Denmark into the site, so here’s a review of Hatespheres’ latest piece, obviously.

You should check out the other 2 reviews I did on this band, you know where to find them, right? I started the ranting on their second album like this:

“Track 1:Thrash. Track 2: Thrash. Track 3: Thrash. Thrash 4: Track. I meant it the other way around idiot. Track 5: Thrash. Track 6: Thrash. Track 7: Thrash. Track 8: Thrash. Track 9: Thrash. Should I end here? Fuck no and fuck you, I´ll write some more.”

Well, I could use that here as well, coz Hatesphere is still about thrash metal the Haunted-way, if you will. I’m not the biggest fucken fan of this kind of music, but I definitely appreciate a dose of it every now and then if it’s well-played, holds a good production and holds a ugly cover. Well, Hatesphere’s got it all. I didn’t really expect a major change in their sound as they definitely know what they wanna do. I couldn’t pick out a Hatesphere track and say what album it’s from even if I wanted to, but that’s not the point. That just means they’ve always kept a high fucken standard with their metal. There’s nothing lacking here, there or elsewhere. Before I go on, I have to mention that I still am about to type Hatebreed everytime I’m going to type Hatesphere. hatebreed can go fuck themselves by the way, you guys fucken suck cock.

“Ballet of the brute” by the way? Taaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaxi….

Whatever. I’m not completely sure as for what to say to make you guys check this out. I just think you should coz it’s quality all-over. We have some neat Slayer-inspirations showing nicely, a slab of Pantera at times as well as the mentioned Haunted-input. I don’t think you can fail that easily if you have those 3 as guiding-stars you know. This sounds like Hatesphere always sounded, no more, no less. Therefore the grade is as follows…

7/10 – Hatesphere should be bigger, it’s not a fair world until I rule it. I really should interview these fuckers…
